Jennifer Louise Rahn

Jennifer L. Rahn died unexpectedly on April 16, 2014 in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Jasonville, IN to the late Fred and Virginia(Cross) Crane on March 8, 1950. She graduated from Shakamak High School in 1968. She then attended Indiana State University for one year. Jennifer was trained as a surgical tech at Bedford Medical Center and worked there for 10 years before moving on to Bloomington Hospital. After her retirement, she worked at Gordon’s Jewelry for several years. Jennifer married Doug Stevenson in 1969. They had one son; Cory Stevenson. She then married Dr. Gerald Rahn in 1995 and was his scrub nurse for several years at Bloomington Hospital. Jennifer is survived by her loving husband Gerald, two step-daughters: Nancye Rahn and Katie Rahn and one step-son: Chris Rahn, her brother Joe(Dani)Crane, three grandchildren: Trinity and Annie Rahn, and Dylan Stevenson many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, her son Cory Stevenson and three siblings: Carol Crane Bays, Tim Crane and David Crane. Friends may call on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 also in the funeral home. As per Jennifer’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.
