Lillian I. Hendricks

Lillian Ida Hendricks, age 87, of Bloomington, died Tuesday morning at Garden Villa in Bloomington. Born March 1, 1931 in New Trenton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Raymond and Ethyl (Hartsaw) Maines. Lillian graduated from Bloomington High School and retired as a Custodial Supervisor at Indiana University. Lillian enjoyed crochet, sewing doll clothes, crafts and reading. She was a long-time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star, both in Bloomington.
Lillian is survived by her loving family; her sons, Michael (Ronda) Hendricks, of Bloomington and David (Lori) Hendricks, of Jeffersonville and four grandchildren, Robert (Leah) Hendricks, Tim (Elizabeth) Hendricks, Rachel Hendricks and Tiffanie (Mark Goebel) Hendricks.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Fred McGlocklin, formerly of Harrodsburg and William Howard “Howdy” Hendricks in 2000, formerly of Bloomington and six siblings.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with her son, Bro. Michael Hendricks officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
