Charlie loved sports and served the school system as the 9th grade baseball coach at Northside for many years, an Assistant 9th grade football coach, and the scorekeeper for the Northside basketball teams. He also served the community as a Little League baseball coach for the Evening Optimist Club of which he was a member, and served as a member of the Gideon’s International.
Following his retirement from education, Charlie sold used cars as the owner of C & W Auto Sales.
Charlie loved the Lord, and was a faithful member and servant at his church. He was a Deacon at Parkside Baptist Church until his health no longer permitted him to serve. He was also an active member of the Berean Bible Church for many years.
