Annie L. Doby Gary, IN Annie L. Doby age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Tammy L. Doby and her daughter, Tymecia A. Redmond and Tanecia L. She was a graduate of Shirley Owens High School, class of 1967. Annie retired from American Bottling Company. She enjoyed spending quality time with her daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren. She loved taking long walks. She enjoyed life! Annie was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touch. To Those I Love When I am gone, release me, let me go. You musn't tie yourself to me with tears. Just be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess, how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call, and I will come. Though you can't see, or touch, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all of my love around you, soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and say "Welcome Home." Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN, formerly Schererville) with Pastor Alfred Weems III, officiating.
