John F. Fialkowski

John F. Fialkowski, 70 of Cedar Lake passed away October 8, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon; two daughters: Diane (Bruce) Roy of FL and Nancy (Paul Jr.) Surber; three grandsons: Joshua, Zachary, and Nicholas; one sister, Pat (Paul) York of Phoenix, AZ; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: John and Rose Fialkowski. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 13, 2013, 12 Noon at First Presbyterian of Merrillville, 7898 Taft St., with Rev Bill Hudson officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (1/2 mile south of U.S. 30) Schererville, IN. John Attended the First Presbyterian Church of Merrillville. He was a U.S. Army veteran, avid Bears fan, and very involved in his grandsons lives. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association.
