Robert Jeffrey Beecher

Robert “Bob” Jeffrey Beecher, 63, passed away peacefully April 13, 2019 with his wife by his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 26, 1956. For 40 years, right up until his retirement in February of 2018 he was a tin knocker. Bob was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 for many years. He was a Past Master of the Gary Masonic Lodge #677. He loved motorcycle riding, spending time at the lake cottage, waterskiing, sailing, fishing, taking walks with Toby and spending time with his family, many brothers and friends. He was the beloved son of the late Robert Thorne Beecher and Marlene (Mario) Basile. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Mary Ellen Beecher; children, Robert Beecher, Lierin (her fiancé Tim Bealor) Beecher and Michael Beecher; grandchildren, Ayden Foster, Rylan Bealor, Carson Bealor, Nolan Bealor; sister, Dianne (John Patrick) Lindsey; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Pelz. Bob also leaves behind nephews, Forrest and Chance Lindsey. A celebration of life will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave, Crown Point, Indiana 46307 on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11 am. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home from 10:30am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may can be made to Hospice of Marion County Florida or American Cancer Society.
