Wilbur O. Griffith

On January 18, 2023, Wilbur Oswald Griffith, Sr. went to be with the Lord. He was 86 years old. Born to Wilbur and Glenora Griffith on February 7, 1936 in Colon, Panama, Wilbur was a retired U.S. Army Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Clyde, Lynn, Eustace, and Pearl. He is survived by his brother Eddie Griffith. Wilbur was married to his loving wife Nora and celebrated over 60 years of marriage in December. He is survived by his wife and 6 children: David, Amelia, Angela, Andrea, Wilbur, and Ngoni; 14 grandchildren: Dylan, Daryl, Darbi, Byron, Andrew, Kirk, Kirkpatrick, Julian, Genevie, Faye, Wilbur, Anastacia, Jordan, and David; and 7 great-grandchildren: Natalie, Kirk, Elizabeth, Andrew, Gabriel, Shenice, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 29th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home 1460 George Dieter in El Paso, Tx. Burial will be held on Monday, January 30th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Wilbur was dedicated to his family and enjoyed spending
