GERALDINE MARIE "JERI" KEIPPER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Parkview Hospital. Born March 2, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Mathilda Harber. She retired as secretary from the Allen County Public Defender's Office in 1989. She was a member and served as the first secretary at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. "Her family and those who knew her will miss her love and affection as well as her sense of humor." Surviving are her husband, Kenneth W.; daughter, Colleen (Mark) Summey of New Haven; sons, Gary (Pam) Keipper of Grabill and Greg (Deb) Keipper of Leo; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Jeanette Hagan of Fort Wayne, Roseann (Donald) Hohenstein of Columbia City; Mary Louise (Steven) Leffer of Fort Wayne; Judith Jett of Jackson, Ky. and Pearl Yoss of Fort Wayne; and brothers, Carl Harber (friend, Barbie) of Fort Wayne; and Donald (Dorothy) Harber of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Foster; and brother, Roger Harber. Mass of Christian Burial is 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior. The Reverend Father Mark Gurtner officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the church building fund, the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association
