Lois J. Linker

Lois J. Linker, 92, lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Towne House. Born May 11, 1926 Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Emma (Fuchshuber) Buechner. After graduating North Side High School, Lois was employed with Lincoln Life for over 15 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, sewing, and boating at her cottage on Lake James. She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Levihn of Muncie; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Buechner of Sarasota, Fla. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Linker; brothers, Willard and Edward Buechner; sisters, Marian Ross and Irene Biggs; brothers-in-law, Herbert Levihn, Howard Biggs, and Joe Ross; and sister-in-law, Rosie Buechner. Funeral Service will be 11:30 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Entombment at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Worship Anew, or Town House Employee Christmas Fund.
