John Thomas Merryman

John Thomas Merryman, 66 of Fredericksburg passed away at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center on Sunday, July 8, 2018. He is survived by four daughters, Mary Ellen Jenkins (Larry), Pamela Swanson (Kevin), Rebecca Merryman (Alfred), and Vicki Valade (Brandon) and their mother, Linda Merryman Williams; seven siblings, Powell Merryman, Roberta Atkins, Richard Merryman, Margaret Jenkins, Janet Gillespie, Alvin Merryman, and Sherman Merryman; nine grandchildren, Kristena, Brittany, Brandon, Alyssa, Zachary, Hannah, Ryan, Austin, and Elijah; two great grandchildren, Mariah and Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Della Mae Merryman and brother, William Merryman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel from 6-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Hillcrest United Methodist Church on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Robert Bumbrey and Worship leader Jenn Bumbrey from Hillcrest United Methodist Church; Fredericksburg, Virginia officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
