Shawn Nicholas Mayekar

Shawn Nicholas Mayekar was born on February 17, 1992 in Cincinnati, Ohio. From a young age, Shawn proved to have an adventurous and ambitious spirit. Throughout his life, Shawn traveled world-wide speaking Spanish fluently, maintained his love for athletics through basketball, running marathons, and personal training, and pursued higher learning with degrees and certificates in multiple areas, including a Business Finance degree from The College of William and Mary. Shawn is survived by his parents: Melanie and Vijay Mayekar, siblings: Lekeisha Sheikh, Kristopher Sheikh, and Shaina (Kyle) Wright, niece: Aaliyah Wright, grandfather: Ernest Smoote, and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. Shawn proved to have an unforgettable soul, making a lasting impression with everyone he came across. His spirit will live in all our hearts forever as he rests in eternal peace. Shawn passed on April 4, 2020. In honor of Shawn’s idol, “Mayekar out.”
