James L. Age III, 58, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday April 20th 2014. He was born December 14, 1955 in Scotland County, North Carolina to James "Leroy" and Ruth Age, whom he precedes in death. He was a graduate of Beech Grove High School in 1974. Jim was honorably discharged from The United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division and is recognized as a Vietnam Era Veteran. He was a long time and proud member of Local 18 Heat and Frost Insulators. Jim is survived in death by his children Luke (Jenalee) and Brooke Age; his brothers David and Brad (Ruthie) Age and Sister Sherri (Brian) Crawford. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Little & Sons Stop Eleven Chapel with a gathering from 3-5pm with services immediately following. The family would like to invite everyone to join in a Celebration of Jim's life at Shallo's Antique Restaurant & Brewhaus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Breath of Life foundation. Dear Jim- I will ALWAYS love you and hold you in my heart forever. Our time together was cut short by a wicked disease. I'll treasure the memories of Florida, our wedding, honeymoon, and happy times together as long as I live. I will never forget our first date and sitting on the beach looking at the stars together as we talked about God. The shooting star appeared and you said "See- he's listening!". I rest in the comfort and peace that you are now in the arms of Jesus with no more sorrow and no more pain. Rest in peace Precious Husband and My Handsome Hoosier. To the Age Family; I was notified that Jimmy wasn't doing very well early on. I have been a lifelong friend even though time had passed us all by I will never forget what a wonderful person Jimmy was and a great friend. He had a great sense of humor and was so much fun to be with, his smile lighted up the room. Jimmy received his wings on April 20th 2014, my love, thoughts and prayers are with you Ruth and Leroy and the entire family. We will all see each other again one day. I am so sorry for your loss. I am truly sorry I wasn't able to attend the service, I am heartbroken about it. I also apologize for the late condolence. Jimmy will always have a place in my heart and he will never be forgotten.
