I recognized John's name right away when I saw the obituary listed in the Indy Star. His mother, Amy, and my grandmother were good friends and who knows with them both formerly being from Medora could have been related for all I know. My parents would often drop off my grandmother, Ruth Owen, for a visit or overnight stay with Amy there at her duplex on North College. Amy, my grandmother and my father would mention John from time to time. I will share the news of John's passing with my father who also grew up in Medora as well as my mother. Thoughts and prayers for all the Pferrer family.
