IN THE CARE OF
Leppert Mortuaries - Nora
Miriam Kay Pittman,
83, of Indianapolis, departed this life at her home on Friday, January 21, 2022. Kay was born in Noblesville, Indiana on October 21, 1938 to the late Orville and Mary Alice (Davis) Neal. She was a graduate of Noblesville High School. Kay worked as an administrative assistant for Indiana High School Athletic Association for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. She married the love of her life, Jim Pittman, on November 11th, 2000
She was a kind and gentle soul who always put her family first. She loved sports of all sorts and especially enjoyed watching and helping her grandchildren grow and develop in all of their endeavors. She rarely missed a grandchild’s sporting event, and was quick to point out an occasional mistake by a referee. Kay also enjoyed hosting pool parties at her house in the summer, window shopping and experiencing new cultures and people on her many cruises.
Kay was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Marten. She is survived by her husband, Jim Pittman; daughters, Debbie (Bill) Schrage and Kim (Kevin) Emry; step-daughters, Mindy (Scott) Hobbs and Tracee (Martin) Royse; brother, Stan Neal; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Kay will begin at 9:30 am on Thursday, January 27th at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel, and conclude at time of services at 11:30 am at the mortuary. Interment follows at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
