My prayers and thoughts go out to the family of Dawn (Lawrence) Mason McCormick. I live out of the area and have not seen Dawn for many many years but remember her well from our high school days at Rustburg High School where we both graduated in the Class of 1963. In high school I remember her as being a very nice and quiet person and know from that experience and other condolences on this website that she will be missed by many people including her family.

Hugs to you, Wendy and Lorne, from Texas. Your Momma was so proud of you both. We know your heart must hurt!
But now she does not.
We had fun with y’all from our college days there in the 80’s and visits back to Virginia and even y’all’s scorching visit to Texas one hot, July. Over the years, phone calls kept us in touch. We would laugh and giggle and brag about grandchildren and our wonderful husbands (Pete and Waymon). She was so proud of Emma and Chloe. I will miss her! My heart is singing, “I Can Only Imagine”. I love ya’all. Blessings and Prayers from Texas~vickie

Dawn was driving a school bus when I began the same job. She was a sweet lady, loved the Lord and was an inspiration and encouragement to others. Her smile was ever present. We had many good laughs together during those years of driving together.
