Alice M. Hopkins

Alice Motley Hopkins, 87, of Martinsville passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was born in Pittsylvania County on November 22, 1930 to Charlie Bennett Motley and Maggie Barbour Motley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Hopkins; sister, Bertha Louise Triplet and Rachael Montgomery; brothers, Charlie Motley, Jr., George, Willie, Bobby and Edward Motley. Mrs. Hopkins is survived by her daughters, Mary Priddy and Nancy Follette; sons, Richard Hopkins, Jr., David and Wayne Hopkins; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; and brother, Abra Motley. Mrs. Hopkins retired from Sara Lee after working 38 years. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at McKee-Stone funeral home with Reverend Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at McKee-Stone Chapel.
