Mrs. Carmichael was an employee of Arvin Industries as well as a homemaker and devout member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She created and organized crafts for nursing home residents, volunteered time and crafts to her granddaughter’s elementary classroom. Jewell was a 4-H club leader for six years while raising her daughters and in later years was elected to the first 4-H council in Brown County. She sat on the 4-H council for eight years and was instrumental in policy making as well as fundraising. She spent many hours of love growing and cultivating her many floral gardens. Jewell passed on this love and vast knowledge of flowers to her family and friends. Her love and devotion to her community will be missed.
