It's been a long time since I was a guest in Nashville and visited with the Lucas family, spending time with Madeline at her 'Grams' house. I will always remember the closeness of the family and how welcome you all made me feel when I visited. You were all truly blessed to have such a close family....bless you during this time of loss. Jewell was just the very best. I admired her the most of anybody in the world. She was what we should all strive to be. It was an extreme honor to be her friend.

I am so thankful the Lord arranged for my path to connect with Gram's. She will always remain to me one of the few people I have known that I would love to be like. Her digninty, sense of purpose, tireless devotion to her family, friends, and work were all driven by her love for her Lord. I had the privilege of teaching a senior adult Sunday School class Jewell attended. I learned so much more from her than she ever could have learned from me. May the Holy Spirit bring you all comfort, inspiration and peace in the days ahead, as only He can. I love you all.

My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to all her family members. Gram was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and woman. She lived her faith and was a blessing to all that knew her. I was lucky enough to have known her, loved her and enjoyed her wonderful presence. We were all blessed to have had her in our life. She may have left this physical world but she will never leave our hearts, thoughts and memories. God has built a home for her with Him and we are comforted in knowing she is at peace.

Jack and Sheila, I am so thankful for that day that Cassie and I saw you out mowing and
you told us to go on over to see Jewell. We had such a wonderful visit with her that day. I have many other memories of your Mother, from the time my family lived in the old homeplace, but that day was extra special. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Our prayers are going out to you and all of your family. God Bless all of you.
