Ella O'Dell Gray Cook

COOK, Ella O’Dell Gray, 84, passed away April 14, 2019 in Richmond, Va. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Philip Reginal and Grace Walsh Gray; sisters Mary Waid, Margaret Inge, and Rose Marie Anstadt. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Snead (Charles); children, Debra Heacock-Augusta Ga., William Conner-Hanover, Va., Anna Minson-Layell-Richmond, Va., Grace Snead-Powhatan, Va., Alice Bailey (Tommy)-Augusta, Ga., and Steven Cook-Richmond, Va.; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her companion Marvin Weeks. Visitation for family and friends will be 12-1:30, Thursday, April 18, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, followed by her funeral service at 1:30 in the chapel. Interment will be at Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond.
