Katherine Allmond Rufus

Katherine Allmond Rufus, 74, of Richmond, VA entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Levada Allmond and the biological daughter of Beulah Ann Cheek Sprinkle and Charles W. Clark. She was a 1960 graduate of George Washington High School, Danville, VA and a 1978 graduate of John Tyler Community College, Chester, VA having earned her RN degree completing her dream of caring for others through nursing. She was a member of the Meadowood Church of God. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Nathan Rufus; daughters, Tamara Robertson (Wayne, devoted and beloved caregiver), Annette Walker (Bradley), Dawn Reese (Mark), and Natalie Jarratt (Bryant); grandchildren, Brent (Sharon), Leonard and Curtis (devoted caregiver) Robertson, Brianna and David (Mandy) Crowder, Brandon (Ashley) Pardoe, Ashley (Shawn) Burks, B. J. Walker, Bryan and Holly Reese, Leslie Speegle, Bryant Jarratt, Jr. and Lamont (Kena) Williams; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Alease Newby (Archie); brother, Edward Sprinkle (Dee); mother-in-law, Anita Rufus; sister-in-law, Rosetta Wiseman (Junior); brothers-in-law, Carl Rufus (Leslie), Robert Rufus (Terri) and Toney Rufus (Betty); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at Meadowood Church of God, 325 Azalea Ave., Richmond, VA 23227.
