Agustina Cisneros Sandoval, age 99 ½, of Villa Unión, Durango, Mexico, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2026, of natural causes, embraced by the family whose love carried her through every season of life.
Born on August 27, 1926, to Herminio Cisneros and Carmen Sandoval, Agustina came into this world with a quiet strength and a generous heart.
She began her family in Villa Unión, Durango, and later started a career caring for others with the same devotion she gave her own in El Paso, Texas, serving as household staff for then–Mayor Judson Williams and his wife, Jackie Roe Williams. When that chapter closed, she journeyed to San Jose, California, where for decades she lovingly cared for children, grandchildren, and countless others who were comforted by her loving spirit and delicious meals. In her final chapter in life, Agustina settled in Tallahassee, Florida, in the home and care of her granddaughter, Raquel Cisneros and her partner Joe —a return to the closeness she had given so freely throughout her life.
Agustina found joy in the simple acts of life: the aroma of food lovingly prepared, sewing, the sound of happy grandchildren playing and calling her name. In her later years she brightly filled coloring books, completed puzzles, and cherished a sweet cup of coffee paired with the tranquility of birds singing in the morning.
Preceding Agustina in death was her sister, Rita Huerta. Carrying her memory forward are her sister, Ana María Cisneros Ramírez; her children: Lorenza Alejandra León, Herminio Cisneros, Rosa Carmen Cisneros, and Seferino “Jorge” Hernández Cisneros; her grandchildren: Raquel (Joe), Claudia (Efren), Cesar (Vero), Hector, Roxanna, Moses, Ney, Ruth, Rocio, Saul, Ana, and Noe; Nieces and Nephew: Maria, Liz and Ernesto; and an abundance of great‑grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park will host a visitation on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 3:00 p.m. A final viewing will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, followed by a memorial service from noon to 1:00 p.m., with burial immediately following.
