

The late Reverend Gerald Harrison was born in Belize City, Belize on February 17, 1949. However, he grew up as a child in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and planted roots as a young adult in Poughkeepsie, New York. Gerald’s passion was to do God’s work, resulting in him, later joining the ministry and becoming an Ordained Reverend on January 31, 1996 at the Church of God Prophecy located in the City of Poughkeepsie, New York.
Later in life, as an adult he settled down in Atlanta, Georgia and became employed with the City of Atlanta, Marta Transportation System as a Bus Operator. As a way to relax, Gerald always looked forward to being entertained by the excitement of watching WWF wrestling!
Reverend Harrison, leaves behind his wife, Bizuayehu Chercose, who resides in Georgia with their two younger children, Arsima and Leah Harrison.
His surviving family also consists of two adult daughters, Keisha Sanchez (Eric) Missouri; Yanae Harrison Johnson (Tavares) Florida; three adult sons, Wayne and Ashar Harrison, Jamaica; Rasheem Harrison, New York; a stepson, Jahmal Irving (Nicole) Florida; including 13 grandchildren, one-great grandson, a host of relatives; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
With all our love now that your task on Earth is done, “rest well”, Daddy. We love you, but God loves you best!
A visitation for Gerald will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia.
Gerald will be laid to rest in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, Georgia.
