Burnie Fletcher Mansfield, Jr., 84, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Virginia Beach. Burnie was born in Norfolk to the late Burnie and Mae Mansfield. He was an avid golfer; years ago Burnie was part owner of Chesapeake Manor Golf Course. He later became a terminal manager of Lafarge Cement. His other passions include gardening and following the political scene. He locally ran for political offices in Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Senter (Loy) and his son Jeffrey Mansfield. He is cherished in memory by his loving wife, Marlene Mansfield; daughter, Kandace West (Don); step children, David Masterson (Leah), Loraine Loizou, Thomas Masterson, Douglas Masterson and Steven Masterson (Kim); twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother Gary Mansfield (Verna).
A private funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, February 10, 2021 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Rosewood Memorial Park.
