IN THE CARE OF
Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Rosewood Memorial Park
Mrs. Sunyo Yom, a long-time resident of the Virginia Beach, died Tuesday 4th of August at her home after suffering from acute metastatic cancer since February of this year.
Born in 1941 in Seoul Korea., Mrs. Yom came to America in 1977 and she lived in Ohio and California before coming to Virginia Beach in 1997. She was a devout Christian since 1981 and a member of COVA Korean church since 1998.
Mrs. Yom loved to fellowship with her church people, cared deeply for her family and relatives, and worked hard to sharpen her cooking style until the day she died. Working as a master chef for many years, she is well known for her good Korean food, as she enjoyed serving people both in the church and outside the church.
She leaves a legacy of working hard, being a devout Christian, and a caring person for the sick, the lost, and the weak.
She is survived by her one and only son, Aaron Yom and his family.
