Margaret V. Woolford, age 90, formerly of Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Tomahawk Health Services.
Margaret was born on November 20, 1927 in Norfolk, VA to Herbert & Margaret (Scully) Videll. Margaret was married to Lannie “Bunny” Woolford, Sr. Margaret really enjoyed her job working for AT&T, formerly C&P Telephone, where she started as an operator and retired after 38 years as an Engineering Administrative Assistant. She loved the beach, especially the beach in Nags Head, NC. Margaret also loved golfing, bowling duck pins, playing bunko and playing cards with her card club. She also loved music and dancing and had fond memories of dancing at the USO dances. Margaret was happiest when she was in the company of her grandchildren and family.
Margaret is survived by her daughter – Lynn (Bob) Grigsby, Phelps, WI; grandchildren – Jessica & Jacquelyn Grigsby, both of Knoxville and Taylor Woolford, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and her sister-in-law Patricia Videll, Virginia Beach. She is further survived by Debbie Hazelwood-Woolford, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-son – Lannie Woolford Jr, and brother - Herbert Videll, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM on October 27, 2018 at the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home (601 N Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA). A committal service will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VA Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad 14, 740 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
