Simon Beigel

Simon Beigel, age 88, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Simon was born May 18, 1934 in Toronto, Canada and raised in The Bronx, New York.
Simon was a true maverick, a career Chief Warrant Officer for the United States Navy. In later years he worked as a property broker and electronics technician.
Simon was intenably stubborn, but set apart by his tenacity and brazenous. He will be missed for his sense of humor.
Simon is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Beigel; brother, Ernest Beigel; sister, Carol Vargas; and grandson, David Jones.
Simon is survived by his children, Edward, William and Laura; sister, Ester Petrillo; and grandsons, Andrew and Daniel.
"Advice from an old sailor: swim with the current, be a good navigator, stay calm under pressure, be well traveled, think long-term, age gracefully and spend time at the beach."
A Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21 at 12:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00pm with a Graveside Committal at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home 601 N. Witchduck Rd. Virginia Beach, Va 23462.
All are welcome to join in reception at Ynot Italian at 3:00pm located at 2102 Great Neck Square, Virginia Beach, Va 23454.
