Kathleen "Cathy" Marie White

Cathy White was born in Cherokee, Iowa on August 26, 1954. She moved around due to having a father in the military and lived all over including Drew, France. The family settled in Prince George, VA and she graduated from Prince George high school in 1972. She lived in Prince George until 1986 when she moved to Virginia Beach, VA and began to work at Optima Health Plan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Donna Lampe, and by her beloved husband, Charlie White. She is survived by her children, daughters Alison Voss and Beth Ludwig, her stepdaughters, Crystal Dickenson and Cheryl White. Sons-in-law Marc Fernandes, Mike Ludwig, and Jeff Dickenson. She is survived by her grandchildren Austin Fernandes, Gabriel Fernandes, Hayley Fernandes, Makayla Fernandes, Alexis Ludwig, Delaney Ludwig, Andrew Ludwig, and Emma Dickenson; and by her great-grandchildren Henry Fernandes, Helena Fernandes and Ryan Labuen. She is also survived by her brother William Lampe and her sisters, Debra Abadie and Teresa Koser and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, coworkers and friends. Cathy passed away peacefully and comfortable in her home surrounded by her family on June 11, 2021 after a courageous battle with Cancer. On behalf of the family we would like to extend our sincerest thank you to Gillian Reyburn, a dear friend of our mother for her support these past few weeks and for organizing the meal train that all of mom’s friends from Optima so graciously donated and also we would like to thank the kind people at Westminster-Cantebury Hospice who visited us daily at home and helped us care for our mother.
