Nicholas David Wells

Nicholas D Wells, 33, of Garrett, passed away on April 28, 2018. Born on September 14, 1984 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of David L. and Jeanette H. (Knueve) Wells, of Fort Wayne, who survive. A graduate of Woodlan HS and IPFW, he was a manufacturing engineer at Hendrickson Suspension in Kendallville for the past 9 years. Nick was a giving and loyal son, brother and friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Often the loudest voice in a room, he never seemed to meet a stranger. He loved the outdoors, craft breweries, canoe trips, four-wheeling and spending time with his family and friends. He is also survived by his sister, Leigh Wells; grandmothers, Yvonne Riley, and Peggy Springer; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be 3pm, Saturday, May 5, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8811 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm, Friday, May 4, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the Greathouse family, in the care of Ryan’s wife, Christen.
