Obituary of Pauline Burch
Pauline Burch was born Pauline Hutchens on October 22, 1924 in Greene County, Indiana. Two words that best describe her are generous and kind. In her nearly 95 years, she was many things to many people. She was a devoted wife to her husband Carl. She has been a wonderful mother to her daughter, Carla Tidd and her late son Ross. She was a loving and teasing mother-in-law to Charlie Tidd and the world’s best Mamaw to Amber Murphy and April Peace (Jeremy.) She has loved seeing the birth of her four great-grandchildren, Carley, Clayton, Stella and Conner. She was a beloved “Aunt Paupie” to her nieces and nephews. She cherished her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Her heart was never too small for extra friends and family. She was a member of Dive Christian Church in Bedford and taught a preschool class through Bible Study Fellowship, which was one of the highlights of her life. A Hoosier at heart, she lived out her best years in Bedford and Bloomington before relocating to Jefferson Manor in Louisville, Kentucky in October 2018, where the nurses and aides laughed with her and loved her as their own, and she would want to thank them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Flo, stepmother, Dessie, her father, Harlan, her husband, Carl, her son, Ross, and her siblings, Wilbur, Imojean, Marie, Oris and Lee. Though her years on earth were many, our hearts are heavy without her. We take peace knowing her reward is great in heaven. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hosparus Health.
