Billie Jean Beasley Stonebraker,
83, of Indianapolis, departed this life Sunday, March 15, 2020 at home. She was born April 17, 1936 in Waverly, Tennessee to the late Smith Crockett & Nellie Marie (Spencer) Beasley. She was a kind and gentle soul who was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed playing canasta, crossword puzzles, rarely missed an episode of ‘Days of our Lives’, was an avid reader, but was happiest making memories with her family and friends, and caring for her beloved Bitsy and her kitten Abby.
She is survived by her loving children, Teresa Sue (Al) Russell, Bryan Dean (Annette Groves) Stonebraker, Kelly Mark (Donnette) Stonebraker, Mary Shawn (Drew) Heimer, Craig Patrick (Lisa Marie) Stonebraker, Shannon Beth (Scott Griffey) Stonebraker and Scott Matthew (April) Stonebraker; her grateful grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Oakes, Megan (Jeremy) Rogers, Jacob Kelly Stonebraker, Matthew (Ashley) Russell, Phillip Russell, Sarah Lynn (Nicholas) Stonebraker, Alex (Terrin) Heimer, Emily Heimer, Abby Heimer, Austin Heimer, Carly Stonebraker Griffey, Julia Stonebraker and Isabella Stonebraker; beloved great-grandchildren, Cambrie, Ashlynn, Novella and Kellan Oakes, Nick Rogers and Alana June Heimer; dear siblings, Donna Gwaltney and Bob (Gloria) Beasley; her former husband, Orville Dean "Stoney" Stonebraker and a host of old friends. Billie Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Sammie Hassell. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Shira from St. Vincent for her kindness.
Visitation will be from 10 am – 1 pm on Thursday, March 19th at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel. Funeral services follow at the conclusion of visitation at 1:00 pm. Interment: Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
