MADILL, Jean Marilyn (1933-2023) Jean Marilyn Madill, age 89, of Oshawa, Ontario passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. It is with hearts full of love and sadness that we announce the passing of Jean on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 at the age of 89, with loving family by her side. Predeceased by her sisters Marj (Len) and Joan (Bill). Beloved Aunt of Dave (Debbie), Sharon (Mike), John (Kerry), Andrea (Gary), Nancy (Gary) and Alan (Taunya) and great Aunt to April, Sarah, Adam, Amanda, Riley, Jackson, Kaylee and Savannah. Jean was born in Toronto and grew up in the “Beaches” until she began working as a hairdresser in Scarborough in her late 20’s. She then took the next step in her career by owning her own salon until retirement called for her in 1991 and she moved to Lindsay to live with her sister Marj and brother-in-law Len. Jean loved her time at the cottage on Rice Lake and spending some winter months in Florida. While Jean may have been a quiet soul, content to be on her own, she embraced the love and inclusion extended to her through her sister’s families, never missing the opportunity to be part of family functions. She will be deeply missed by all of us. “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure”. Auntie Jean (AJ), thank you for a lifetime full of treasures. As per Jean’s wishes there will be no Funeral Service. Memorial donations to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
