Our venue features flexible seating rather than fixed pews, with space for approximately 200 guests, while a reception room for up to 150 people provides a welcoming place to spend time together. For small gatherings, our intimate celebration-of-life room can welcome about 15 guests.

History

Roy Akers began working in the funeral profession at just 17 years old. After earning his funeral director’s license, he opened Roy Akers Funeral Home in downtown San Antonio on June 14, 1933. More than 90 years later, Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers continues his commitment to understanding each family and helping them create a farewell filled with meaning, dignity and love.
