Stevens Memorial Chapel was established as Duckworth Funeral Home in Ames, Iowa, in 1908, initially located near downtown on Burnett Avenue. Later, Francis L. Stevens became a partner and the name became Duckworth Stevens Funeral Home.
When Stevens became the sole proprietor, the home’s name changed again to Stevens Memorial Chapel. In 1964, the business relocated to its present location of 607 28th Street, one half block east of the Ames mall. Today, our local team continues our century-old tradition of service by creating personalized memorial tributes.
We cherish the community we serve and invite you to join us for our upcoming events.
