Elliott Sons has 2 convenient chapel locations for funeral services: 1 in Augusta and 1 in Martinez. Our Martinez location, which is the site of Elliott Sons Crematory, serves the Islamic Society, Hindu Temple and the Augusta Jewish Societies as well as all religious denominations. With respect and understanding, we welcome all faiths, nationalities, lifestyles, customs and traditions.
Each family is different, and we feel each service should be too. Our staff works with families to truly personalize each burial or cremation, whether you are planning a traditional service or themed celebration. We help families find inspiration almost anywhere—in a favorite song, hobby or personal story—and turn that inspiration into a funeral service filled with thoughtful and meaningful details.
Maybe it’s kayaking the Augusta Canal or spending mornings on the golf course. Our Augusta funeral home staff knows you are one of a kind, and we’re here to ensure your wishes are honored and your story is told. There’s almost no limit to the special tribute we can create.

R.E. Elliott, Sr. opened the funeral home in 1896. His 1st location was situated over his furniture store on Broad Street, but it soon relocated to 11th and Ellis Streets. Years later, the funeral home again relocated to its current location on Telfair Street.
Elliott was the 1st undertaker in Georgia to use motorized funeral hearses. His profession brought him in contact with families from all over the area, and his tenderness endeared him to the hearts of many residents.
The Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Road location opened in 1994. The crematory originated at the Telfair Street location and then moved to Columbia Road in 2003.
