Let's celebrate life
The team at Greenoaks Funeral Home understands the importance of a final tribute that tells a story of a life. Funeral service options have evolved since the business opened in the early 1990s, but our commitment to high standards remains unchanged. Whatever your wishes, we're here to see that they're followed and that every detail is taken care of.
Whether you are seeking a cremation and a scattering, a full traditional funeral with a graveside service and cemetery burial, or a modern celebration of life with live music, catering and a send-off that reflects the personality and passions of your loved one, we go the extra mile to make it happen—and we do it with a level of care and compassion that's uncommon in this world.
Want a dove release? You got it. A crawfish boil? You can have that, too. A zydeco band and key chains as mementos? Yes and yes. The list is nearly endless. Our caring and compassionate staff takes the time to visit with your family and help plan a unique and personalized celebration of your loved one's life.
Funeral home offerings and amenities
Greenoaks Funeral Home includes 2 staterooms and a spacious, non-denominational chapel. One of our staterooms offers an untraditional setting that can be converted into a small reception area complete with tables, chairs and personalized decor.
For larger gatherings, the Greenoaks Life Celebration Reception Center has the capacity to host as many as 200 guests (this is where we'd host that crawfish boil!). This space is also available to the community for business meetings, parties and other gatherings.

Greenoaks Memorial Park cemetery
Situated on 80 acres in Baton Rouge, Greenoaks Memorial Park offers a picturesque setting for generations of families to remember and celebrate loved ones.
The beautifully maintained Greenoaks Memorial Park offers standard ground-burial options with bronze markers, granite markers and upright monuments. Memorial and cremation benches, mausoleums, private family estates and other permanent memorialization options are also available.
Gardens and features
Established to honor the men and women who have served as civil servants or in the United States Armed Forces, the Garden of Valor at Greenoaks Memorial Park offers lawn crypt burial.
One of the cemetery’s newer additions, Arbour Gardens includes mature live oak trees and a lovely gazebo that is ideal for small committal ceremonies. This section offers both ground-burial and above-ground entombment options.
St. James Mausoleum, an outdoor community mausoleum, is another recent addition to Greenoaks Memorial Park. Eventually, with further development, the mausoleum complex will include 12 outdoor mausoleum structures, each named after 1 of the 12 apostles.
Here for you now and in the future
Approximately 15 of the property's 80 acres are currently undeveloped. As the need arrises, we will develop the remaining 15 acres in while always maintaining the serene, park-like atmosphere.
We invite you to come see our lovely cemetery property for yourself. Please call us to schedule a tour or visit anytime.
We honor veterans
Greenoaks Funeral Home understands the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level One Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.
We also assist and honor veterans through programs such as the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program. Founded on the belief that every honorably discharged veteran deserves a dignified and professional burial, this veterans program is a cooperative effort with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, local medical examiners, coroners, veterans advocates and other veterans organizations. Through the Homeless Veterans Burial Program, homeless and indigent veterans who have no family are identified and provided with proper military burials.
Greenoaks Funeral Home and Greenoaks Memorial Park are engaged in the Baton Rouge community. We host funeral-planning seminars and memorial events that are open to the public.
