Originally from Upstate New York, David now resides in Winthrop. He has been a licensed funeral director since 2015, following careers in both finance and real estate. He considers it both an honor and a privilege to help families with funeral arrangements for their loved ones and strives to provide them with the highest level of service.
Mark Steven Basile
A native of Watertown, Mass., Mark Basile graduated from Watertown High School and went on to major in Political Science at Tufts University. After working in state government for a number of years, Mark, being married with five young children at home, decided to pursue his lifelong ambition of a career in funeral service. He enrolled in the evening program at the New England Institute at Mt. Ida College, graduating magna cum laude with an associate’s degree in funeral arts and sciences. While he is interested in and respectful of all types of religious and ethnic funeral traditions, Mark was drawn to the funerary customs of Judaism early in his career. He has been serving the Greater Boston Jewish community as a funeral director for over 25 years.
Howard C. Lawson
A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Howard "Howie" Lawson graduated from Winchester High School and attended UMass Boston while pursuing a management and science degree program. He graduated from the New England Institute in 1987. He has worked in all capacities of funeral service in a career that spans over 30 years.
Since joining our team, Howie has learned how to navigate the time-sensitive schedules often involved with serving observant religious families, earning the Location Service Excellence Award in 2018. He has always enjoyed helping others in any way he can and stays active in the community doing service projects. He is also a longtime member of the Sons of Italy and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks organizations.
Carl Goldman has been a Massachusetts licensed funeral director since 1988. In 1992, he joined both the Brookline and Canton locations of Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, as well as Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel in Vinnin Square. Since 2001, Carl has served thousands of families with advance planning, helping each to make vital decisions long before funeral needs arise. As each family provides their own foresight and thoughtfulness, Carl supplies guidance with the mission to assure none of his families are unprepared or overwhelmed in their time of need. A father of three, he is happily married to Laurie Ann Hymanson, making Carl the fourth generation of the Hymanson family to serve our communities.
Linda P Hirschberg
Linda P. Hirschberg has served families for over 5 years. A native of the Boston area, Linda earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from Boston College and graduated summa cum laude from FINE Mortuary College, also serving as an adjunct instructor at FINE. Prior to her career in funeral service, Linda worked in customer support and operations management. With a strong respect for Jewish tradition and a reverence for the natural cycle of life and death, she readily applies her customer service skills and compassion care to helping families transition through the loss of a loved one.
