Sam started with Teague Funeral Service in the late 1970s. In addition to his mortuary science degree, he has a master's degree in business from Virginia Commonwealth University. A certified crematory operator, Sam has been operating crematories since 1991. He has been involved in a variety of community organizations including Kiwanis, Jefferson Swim League, a community league with over 2000 kids participating, and is currently a member of the Elk’s Lodge. Sam is married with two grown children and he enjoys boating and traveling.
Keri Lynn Rickett
Originally from from Cary, North Carolina, Keri received her degree in funeral service education from Fayetteville Technical Community College. After completing her apprenticeship, she began her career as a licensed director.
In 2015 she was the recipient of the Funeral Service Foundation’s Professional Women’s Conference Scholarship and a separate Service Scholarship. Keri was invited to participate in the 2016 Meet the Mentors program of the National Funeral Director Associations. She joined Teague Funeral Home in January 2017 as both a funeral director and embalmer.
Keri takes a tremendous amount of pride in the care of families she is dedicated to serve during some of their hardest moments. She displays an energetic approach throughout the process and her passion truly shows through her attention to detail. Outside of work Keri is an avid lover of music, practices origami and enjoys time spent with family and friends.
