Thomas Turkowski was born of Polish descent and raised in Chicago. The death of Tom’s maternal grandmother during his college years sparked his interest in becoming a funeral director, realizing how important funeral traditions are in helping families walk down the road of grief and healing.
Tom attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1984, becoming a part of our funeral home family in September 1986. Over the years, he has continued to welcome each family like his own, treating them with the same care and compassion he would want for his own family.
In his free time, Tom likes to explore small, interesting towns and enjoys long road trips with his daughters. He also enjoys reading classical literature, cooking, visiting museums and zoos, a variety of the arts and performing occasionally as an amateur magician.
