    Stewart Gregory Dunbar

    General Manager

    Stewart Greg Dunbar is a native of Columbia and a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. He is honored to be a fifth-generation member of the Dunbar Funeral Home family, which has served the Columbia area since 1884. Greg ensures each and every family, every time, is treated with the utmost respect, as if they were his own family members. As location manager Greg is very generous with his time in developing the employees and ensuring they have a work and family life balance. Greg Dunbar is a member and past president of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, a member of the Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Chamber of Commerce and a longtime member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church in Columbia. Greg ensures our public servants who give their lives in the line of duty receive a memorial respecting their unselfish service in protecting our laws and communities. He is married and together they have six daughters and two grandsons. Greg enjoys cycling, kayaking and golf.

    Jessica P Kline

    General Manager

    Location manager Jessica Kline has been with the funeral home since 2009. She became a certified celebrant after her mother died.

    Jessica has taken corporate sponsorship of the Greater Columbia Area Widowed Persons Organization to a personal level and has developed friendships with those who attend. She is a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue, where she previously served on the board of directors. Jessica enjoys being a member of the Irmo/Lake Murray Rotary Club, where she is the membership chair and shows her love for the community by living the Rotarian motto “service above self.” Jessica and her daughter work together to carry out Rotary volunteering duties, delivering Meals on Wheels and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas.

    Jessica is married and has two children and one grandson. Although her career and civic organizations are important, her most-loved activities involve her children. She has been seen at Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC) on the football and baseball field, and at Irmo High School’s lacrosse games cheering on her son. Today you might find her at Columbia Christian Dance Theater with her daughter or ICRC watching her daughter in various activities.

    James K Mobley

    General Manager

    Kenny Mobley joined the staff of Dunbar Funeral Home in 2013. He began his career in the funeral business at the young age of 16. After completing high school he attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated in 2008. He became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2010 and is a certified crematory operator. Kenny is the assistant manager but also fills many roles within the funeral home. He enjoys meeting with families to plan a meaningful service for their loved one. Kenny is a member of the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce. In his free time he enjoys going on camping trips, riding the golf cart, working in his yard and most of all spending time with his family. Kenny is married to his high school sweet heart and they have three daughters.

    John R Boulware

    Funeral Director

    John was born and raised in Winnsboro, South Carolina, and started his funeral service career in his home town. Being exposed to the funeral service at a very young age, he learned quickly the importance of excellent customer service and compassionate care for families at their most difficult time. Serving since 1970, John has extensive experience and has served at Dunbar Funeral Home since 1990 in several capacities, including as general manager. He is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia, and is both a licensed funeral director and a licensed embalmer. In his free time John enjoys traveling throughout the world to hunt and fish.

    Amanda E Bryant

    Funeral Director

    Amanda, or Amy, joined the staff of Dunbar Funeral Home in August 2016. A native South Carolinian, she takes pride in providing a comfortable atmosphere of compassion and trust that evokes the spirit of each personalized funeral service. Since 2005 she has held funeral service licenses and actively served in South Carolina and North Carolina.

    Amy was the recipient of the South Carolina Ladies Auxiliary, Evelyn J. Davis Scholarship for Young Women in Funeral Service. She is a 2002 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service and a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practitioners, becoming a certified funeral service practitioner in May 2013.

    Amy is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and has served on various advisory boards, both in civic and volunteer capacities, including the Salvation Army, Salvation Army Soup Kitchens, Civitan International and Special Olympics. She participated in the American Cancer Society - Relay for Life in honor of one her fellow Dunbar coworkers.

    In her spare time she has a passion for traveling, learning new things, attending concerts and theater productions and spending time with family and her new puppy.

    Richard D Morton

    Funeral Director

    Dale has been in the funeral industry since 1990 and is a graduate of Gupton Jones College in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in South Carolina and Georgia, and serves with Dunbar Funeral Home in Columbia, South Carolina. Dale enjoys playing golf and is an avid Clemson Tiger fan.

    Charles R Shealy

    Charles R. Shealy Jr. is a resident of Lexington with nearly half a century in the funeral industry. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1976 and joined the Dunbar staff in 1993. Charles is married with two daughters and four grandchildren. He and his family are members of Lexington Baptist Church.

    Uly J Tanner Jr

    Funeral Director

    Uly J, known by everyone as Joey, began working at Dunbar Funeral Home in 1975 at the young age of 17. He obtained his degree in funeral service from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Ga. in 1978. He has progressed through all aspects of the funeral industry, from apprentice to funeral director and embalmer, and is now at the threshold of his retirement. He is grateful to the Dunbar family for allowing him to work in this community and establish a vital reputation among colleagues and clientele. Joey currently assists families with arrangements, whether it be through a traditional service or a cremation service. His annual pilgrimage to the beach with all of his family, including aunts, uncles and cousins, brings him great joy. He is quite involved with the Widowed Persons Organization (WPO), a group sponsored by the funeral home, and his local square dance club. A few of his favorite pastimes are cooking, researching family genealogy on “Find-a-grave" and eating at a favorite restaurant.
