A modern funeral home
When we built our red-brick East White Oak Terrace funeral home in 1999, we did so with the needs of 21st-century families in mind. Our chapel has a beautiful stained-glass window, and the funeral home has ample room for gathering with friends and family.
Should you wish to host coffee and tea, or even lunch or dinner, we can arrange food and beverage catering. Because we know that each life is different and every family is unique, our staff is trained to listen carefully and help you design a personalized funeral or memorial service.
We work closely with Garden Park Cemetery and Forest Park-The Woodlands Cemetery, though we will work with any cemetery you choose.
At Metcalf Funeral Directors, we pride ourselves on events that celebrate you or your loved one. Whether you seek a basic cremation with a celebration, a full traditional funeral service with a cemetery burial and a catered reception, or a creative outdoor celebration complete with a live band, favorite foods, and funeral favors, we take care of every detail. We are here to help you and your family celebrate a life like no other.
Imagine it: From scrapbooking to sailboats, guitars to golf balls, barbecue to balloon bouquets, we take the things that matter to someone and bring them together to create a singular, heartfelt memorial.
We honor veterans
Metcalf Funeral Directors understand the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level One Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.
Comfort and value
As a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, Metcalf Funeral Directors give you not only the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home, but also the value you deserve by way of the largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers in North America. Call us day or night. We are always here for you.
Metcalf Funeral Directors was founded in 1938, in downtown Conroe, Texas, by Leo T. Metcalf Sr. and his wife, Naomi. Our funeral home has been managed by 3 generations of the Metcalf family. Originally located on West Davis Street and then North Frazier Street, the funeral home burned to the ground in 1998. It was subsequently rebuilt at our current location on East White Oak Terrace.
We cherish the community we serve and invite you to join us for our upcoming events.
