A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Charlene Steptore received her degree in applied science from Fayetteville Technical College in 2000. She became part of the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home family in 2008 as a funeral director after relocating to Killeen, Texas, from Vicenza, Italy.
In 2015 Charlene accepted the position of manager of the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, where she is dedicated to providing excellent service to families.
Charlene is the very proud mother of her 2 children and is a member of the Smoking for Jesus Ministry Church in Kingsland, Texas. In her spare time she enjoys watching HGTV and attempting home redecorating. She also thinks she is the number 1 New Orleans Saints fan.
Joyce Arlene Gilbert
Joyce graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. She has served families in Killeen, Copperas Cove and Temple for several years and says that taking care of the people in her community means as much to her as taking care of her own family.
Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Joyce was born into a Navy family and served in the U.S. Army for 3 years.
She has 3 children and 1 grandchild. She loves collegiate basketball and football—especially the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Mary Elizabeth Heizer
Elizabeth has served families in the Copperas Cove area since 2016. She earned an associate's degree in applied science from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2009 and holds a bachelor's degree in management from Ottawa University.
As the wife of a U.S. Army serviceman, Elizabeth has cared for families in numerous states.
Originally from Forest Park, Georgia, Elizabeth now lives in Fort Hood with her 5 children. She enjoys volunteering in the veterans community and is an avid animal lover.
For more than a decade, Bobby has provided comfort and care to families in the Killeen, Copperas Cove and Temple.
Born in Belton and raised in Killeen, Bobby is a retired school teacher from Killeen ISD. He is also a member of Killeen Masonic Lodge #1125, where he is a past master. He is an elder at Lifeway Fellowship Church in Killeen. He and his wife, Robin, serve meals at Henderson's Restaurant during the holidays.
Joanna Beth Veal
Originally from Houston, Joanna Veal has served families in the Temple, Killeen and Copperas Cove areas for several years. Joanna has been a licensed funeral director since the 2000s, serving in the Dallas, Austin and central Texas areas. She graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2006.
Joanna is married to a Temple firefighter and is a mother to 2 beautiful daughters. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, playing with her daughters and spending time with family.
