We have a 300-seat funeral chapel, as well as more intimate family rooms. Should you wish to host a catered event, we have a reception area and can handle the food and drinks for you.
At Laurel Land Funeral Home, we understand that losing a loved one is a difficult emotional experience, we also know that every life is unique and every family is different. Our team, like our community, is diverse and experienced with a variety of religious and ethnic traditions. That’s not to say, however, that we assume anything. We take the time to ask questions and learn about each individual before helping plan a service.

Laurel Land Memorial Park cemetery
The well-landscaped Laurel Land Memorial Park is a wonderful cemetery that spans 300 acres. The cemetery offers many choices for memorialization. Whether you prefer in-ground interment, mausoleum entombment or a memorial choice specific to cremation, we have an option to suit you and your wishes.
South Dallas cemetery with notable burials
Laurel Land Memorial Park is a sweeping cemetery in South Dallas, just east of I-35 and the Redbird community. This is the final resting place of a number of sports figures, politicians and musicians, including famed blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, who regularly draws loyal fans who pay their respects.
Cemetery for all people
Laurel Land Memorial Park is a cemetery for everyone. Our Lady of Guadalupe garden honors the Catholic heritage of our Spanish community. We have a sizable Veterans Garden, which is graced by the largest Pearl Harbor memorial in the contiguous United States outside of a national cemetery.
Beautiful cemetery grounds
The cemetery comprises more than 300 acres—160 beautifully landscaped developed acres and 140 undeveloped acres, which will serve future generations. From the moment you pass through our iron gates and stone entrance, you will feel comforted.
With winding walkways, carefully trimmed trees, water features and stone statues, the cemetery is an idyllic setting away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Chapel Springs is an especially lovely section of the property. Mature trees shade a small pond bubbling with fountains. We also have a charming little chapel called The Little Old Church in the Valley. This quaint chapel was named after a song from the early 30s, fashioned after a drawing that appeared on the sheet music and now sits at the water’s edge.
A range of burial options
Whatever your burial preference, Laurel Land Memorial Park offers many choices, including in-ground interment, indoor or outdoor mausoleum entombment or a memorial choice specific to cremation. The Trinity Monument Garden Estates allows for upright monument while other areas accommodate flat granite markers or bronze-on-granite memorials.
We invite you to see our cemetery property for yourself. You are welcome to visit Laurel Land Memorial Park at any time. If you would like a guided tour and more information about our services, please call us.
Veterans and Memorial Day services
The teams at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Laurel Land Memorial Park are well-versed in veterans services and military honors. We offer special funeral pricing for veterans and dedicate several sections of Laurel Land Memorial Park to the burial of military veterans. The cemetery is also home to the largest Pearl Harbor memorial in the contiguous United States outside of a national cemetery.
Each May, our annual Memorial Day service honors men and women who died serving our country, as well as mothers who lost children in the line of duty. The event draws hundreds of visitors to the cemetery and includes guest speakers, a showcase of World War II memorabilia, and an Avenue of Flags. We also place a U.S. flag on every veteran’s grave, so that for the day, the cemetery is awash in red, white and blue.
