    Erika Dale Baker

    General Manager

    Erika moved to the Dayton area from Pittsburgh in 2006 after graduation to complete her apprenticeship at our funeral home. Afterward, she stayed on as a licensed funeral director.

    Erika lives in Springboro with her husband, who is also a funeral director, and their 2 dogs and cat. She enjoys trying new restaurants in Dayton and Cincinnati and is involved at a local gym.

    Douglas L Musser

    General Manager

    Douglas was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1986 before moving to Dayton. Doug then joined our funeral home, where he has been serving our community since 1988. He became a manager in 2001 and enjoys supporting his staff to help members of the community in their time of need. Doug married his wife in 2015 and enjoys playing golf and working around the house.

    Andrew L Vanderhorst

    General Manager

    Andrew, also known as Skip, is a lifelong resident of Beavercreek and graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1974. A 1981 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science as a funeral director and embalmer, he began working at our funeral home in July 1980.

    Skip is a member of Beavercreek Lodge #753 and a 33rd degree member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton.

    Skip and his wife have 1 daughter and are active members of St. Helen Parish. They enjoy spending their free time with family and friends.

    Jon B Deitloff

    Funeral Director

    Jon is a graduate of the Mortuary Science Department at San Antonio College and received the designation of certified funeral service practitioner in 2003. He has been a licensed funeral director since 1987 but his informal training began earlier in his father’s funeral home in Nebraska.

    Jon served as president of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association in 2007 and on the board of directors at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science from 2003 to 2014, serving the last four years as president. Jon has also served on several other area boards and organizations. He has two adult sons and enjoys travel, reading and live music.

    Mark B Ely

    Since 1998 Mark has provided compassionate care to families in the greater Dayton area. Mark earned his degree in mortuary science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1975. He is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in life.

    Frederick B Huelsman

    Funeral Director

    Frederick received his funeral director and embalmer licenses in Ohio in 1988 and 1989, respectively. He has also held a mortician license in Michigan since 1990.

    Fred grew up in Englewood and considers it a blessing to be able to serve our local funeral home. His wife, Diane, joined the funeral home in 2008 as the office manager. They have been married since 1985 and have 3 children and 2 granddaughters.

    Fred and his wife are members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Englewood. They previously served as members of the Northmont Wee Bolt Football Board and director and coach of the Northmont Kids Wrestling Club.

    Fred and Diane are able to serve our community with the compassion that comes from knowing so many wonderful people as longstanding residents of Englewood.

    Lindsey Ann Oliver

    Funeral Director

    Lindsey grew up in Xenia, Ohio, and graduated from Xenia High School in 2008. She attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 2013. While attending, she was activities director for Delta Gamma Pi Sorority. Lindsey worked at the Beavercreek Senior Center for over 4 years and made good friends throughout her time there. She married her high school sweetheart in 2014. They currently reside in Xenia with their beagle, Max. Lindsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, lounging by her pool, being outdoors and listening to music.

    Traci L Skeen

    Funeral Director

    Traci Skeen has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1996 after she graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. She has thoroughly enjoyed serving families in the Miami Valley area since that time. Traci became a part of the Dignity Memorial® team in December 2005 and in May of 2009 joined Tobias Funeral Home to provide compassionate and professional care to the families she serves.

    Adam Thomas

    Funeral Director

    Adam is a 2006 graduate of Fairborn High School and a 2014 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science as a funeral director and embalmer. He is a lifelong, active member of First Baptist Church of Fairborn and has recently become a member of Dayton Lodge 147 and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. Adam is an avid outdoorsman and loves to spend time with his family.

    Kevin R Tobias

    Funeral Director

    Kevin is a 1990 graduate of Beavercreek High School, a 1996 graduate of Ohio State University and a 1998 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is a third-generation licensed funeral director and embalmer who has worked at the funeral home since 1988.

    Kevin and his wife, who is also a funeral director and embalmer, have 2 children. The family lives on a farm in Waynesville, Ohio, owned by his mother’s family since 1885. They enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on the water.

    Steven J Tobias

    General Manager

    Steve is a second-generation funeral director who is honored and privileged to serve the families of Dayton and surrounding communities for over three decades. Steve was born and raised in the Dayton/Kettering area and currently resides in Bellbrook, Ohio. Beginning his studies at Ohio State University, he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1979.

    Steve enjoys giving back to his community and is a member of the Bellbrook Lions Club, served as a paramedic and firefighter with the Sugarcreek-Bellbrook Fire Department for 18 years and currently is an active volunteer with the Victoria Performing Arts. He serves with the old adage in mind: People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

    Steve enjoys spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren.

    Stacy E Tobias-Frantz

    Funeral Director

    Stacy joined our funeral home in 2008 serving as support staff before attending Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, earning her degree in 2010. Growing up in the funeral home industry inspired her decision to help grieving families as a funeral director.

    Stacy enjoys serving our communities. She is an active member of the Studebaker Drivers Club, where she has served on the board since 2015. Stacy loves animals and being outdoors.

    Funeral Director

    James has been serving families of Dayton, Ohio, since 1966 and at Tobias Funeral Home since 1989. He spent four years at Miami University studying adult trainable and adolescent behavior issues and graduated cum laud from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1966. James is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Ohio Funeral Directors and Embalmers associations and the Greater Montgomery County Funeral Directors Association. He is also involved with the Victoria Theater Association.

    Caitlin Elizabeth Worthington

    Funeral Director

    Caitlin was born and raised in Dayton and earned her bachelor's degree in mortuary science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2008. Caitlin then earned her Ohio funeral director and embalmer license in 2010. In the following years she pursued her passion for anatomy through employment at Community Tissue Services and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

    The desire to serve families as part of a tight-knit community led Caitlin to return to funeral service by joining our team. She also joined Fairborn Lions Club to further help the community.

    Caitlin is married and they live in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Dayton with their cat and dog. She enjoys long hikes with her dog, jogging, biking, reading, cooking, eating good food and spending quality time with her family and friends.

    Linda G Zerkel

    Funeral Director

    Linda grew up in St. Paris, Ohio, and attended Graham High School. In 1992 she received her Bachelor of Arts from Wright State University with a dual major in philosophy and classical humanities. She is a 2004 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science as a funeral director and embalmer. Linda began working on our team following her licensure in 2005. In her spare time Linda enjoys the outdoors and computers.

    Dan K Tobias


    Dan has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 41 years. His passion has always been helping family members through difficult times. He has 2 brothers, Dick and Dave, and their parents, La Mar and Norma founded our funeral home in 1941. Dan is a veteran, having served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1966 to 1970. He also served as president of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association in 2003 and President Rotary Club of Beavercreek in 2010. He continues to pursue a passion for funeral service every day as a full-time consultant. Dan is married to Mary Beth and has 3 adult children Scott, Ryan and Stacy, who is also a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
