Barry was born and raised in Athens, Alabama. After high school, Barry attended Jefferson State Community College, earning an associate degree in funeral service education. Having served over 3 decades in the funeral industry, Barry loves the opportunity to help families of Madison County and surrounding areas as a valuable part of our team.
Barry's funeral career began on January 15, 1984 at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama, beginning as an apprentice and, after completing mortuary school, was promoted to funeral director and embalmer. He served in that position until 1992, when he was promoted to location manager.
After serving the Athens Community at McConnell’s for 26 years, Barry transferred to Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in 2009, where he served as general manager for almost 5 years, before relocating to serve in his current position as general manager for 3 area locations.
Stan S Clemons
Born and raised in Huntsville, Ala., Stan Clemons has been serving families for over 29 years. He received his funeral director's license in 1994 and has been tending families with compassion since that time. He considers it an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the memorialization of a loved one. Outside of work, Stan enjoys spending time with his wife (who is also in the funeral profession) and the rest of his family. He also enjoys watching Alabama football and fishing. He is a member of the Baptist Church.
Marvin E Holt
Marty is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a graduate of Jefferson State Community College with an Associate of Arts in funeral science. Marty has been with Roselawn since 2014 and considers his job as a funeral director to be a ministry. He finds comfort and inspiration in Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble." Marty has been married since the late 1980s and has three children and one grandson.
Jasmine Y McRoy
Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Jasmine McRoy attended Oakwood Adventist Academy and continued her education at Athens State University. She later decided to follow her passion for funeral service, attending John A. Gupton College in Nashville, Tennessee.
A licensed funeral director and embalmer in the State of Alabama, Jasmine finds great fulfillment in serving families, treating each as her own and believing that everyone deserves for their final wishes to be carried out with dignity. Outside of work, she participates in a variety of community organizations and is an active member of All Nations Worship Assembly-Huntsville.
