The Groover family has served Manatee County for four generations. As a lifelong resident, Rick has helped families through some of their most difficult times for nearly 20 years. He received his degree in mortuary sciences from St. Petersburg College.
A big believer in community involvement, Rick is on the security team at First Baptist Church of Palmetto. He was with the Palmetto Police Department for 23 years. When he is not working, he enjoys golfing, fishing and riding his motorcycle, especially through the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Rick is married and has two beautiful daughters and one very special grandson.
Paul Luca Kolonich
A native of Metro Detroit, Paul L. Kolonich graduated from Wayne State University's School of Mortuary Science with a Bachelor's of Science in Mortuary Science in 2014. He is licensed to practice in both Michigan and Florida. He decided to move to the "Sunshine State" to enjoy the warm weather year-round. He's been with our team since 2015, serving families when they need it most as a funeral director. He enjoys being able to help lessen the stress of planning a funeral. Paul resides in Sarasota, Fla. with his wife who is also a licensed funeral director. In his free time, he enjoys long days at the beach and traveling with his wife.
