On Saturday, August 15, Wreaths Across America's (WAA) Mobile Education Exhibit will visit the Alexander West Funeral Home in Evansville for a day of media, dignitary, and public tours. The goal of the WAA Education Exhibit is to bring local communities and our military together with education, stories, and interactive connections. When touring the Exhibit, guests will have the opportunity to explore, learn and remember our fallen veterans. With social distancing, sanitation, and COVID-19 safety precautions in place to protect the health of visitors, the WAA Exhibit will be offering free public tours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.
WAA takes great pride in its mission to Remember, Honor, Teach. The Mobile Education Exhibit will help to Teach, not only the next generation but all community members and visitors about the services and sacrifices of our nation’s military. All veterans, active-duty military, their families, and the local community are invited and encouraged to visit the Exhibit at Alexander West, 2100 W. There will also be representatives from several local veterans organizations on hand that day to answer questions from the community about who they are, what they do and how the community can become involved.
Stefan and Jan Brann of WAA will be on-site and available for interviews. Press photos are available upon request.
