For above-ground entombment, the cemetery features three open-air three-story mausoleums with black granite fronts. Private and community mausoleums provide indoor or outdoor spaces for caskets and urns. Those choosing cremation memorialization can also consider cremation niches and cremation gardens, along with other permanent memorial choices.

The cemetery itself is an important part of the experience. Mature trees, landscaped gardens, shaded areas, waterside views and a fountain help create a serene setting for reflection across our 29-acre grounds. An on-site floral shop and cemetery flower arrangement delivery also make it easier to honor someone with fresh flowers, even when you cannot visit in person.

The property has continued to evolve over the years, including an expansion of the main building, the addition of offices and kitchen space, allowing Woodlawn West to continue serving the community while preserving the peaceful, park-like environment that has become an important place of remembrance.

Cremation Memorialization in Hialeah

Families who choose cremation can still create a permanent place to visit and remember at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West. The cemetery offers cremation memorialization choices that include cremation gardens, cremation niches, columbaria, memorial benches and estates, allowing people to select an option that feels meaningful to them.

We do not provide cremations, funeral services or visitations on-site.  Our role is to provide cemetery property and permanent memorialization. Families can coordinate funeral and cremation services with the provider of their choice, while our cemetery team can assist with placement at Woodlawn West. Cemetery needs can also be discussed by phone or email, offering greater flexibility for those who cannot easily visit in person.

Families arrive with fresh flowers and balloons, and many spend long periods at their loved ones’ resting places. The cemetery also welcomes many visitors around Father’s Day and Day of the Dead, when remembrance brings people together from across South Florida and beyond.

We know some visitors travel a long way for these moments. During especially busy remembrance days, the cemetery accommodates them by remaining open later than usual, and security helps direct traffic along the cemetery’s single access road. These additional efforts are intended to give people the time and space they need to be together and honor those who remain an important part of their lives.

Throughout the year, the cemetery offers flexible event space, including an outdoor event venue for personalized gatherings on the property. Event-planning support is available to help coordinate these occasions in a way that reflects the person being remembered.
