About

Frederick Funeral Home has served families in Queens since the 1930s, when the Passarella family opened its first funeral home location in Corona. Today, we uphold a tradition of compassionate care that spans more than 8 decades, and we are here to guide you through every step of memorializing your loved one.

A neighbor and neighborhood institution

Front Exterior at Frederick Funeral HomeOccupying a full city block on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, Frederick Funeral Home can’t be missed. We’ve been in the same location since the 1960s and have played a vital role in the lives of thousands of Queens families.

We can be easily accessed from major highways including Clearview Expressway and Long Island Expressway, as well as public transportation and the Long Island Railroad. Parking is plentiful in our corner lot, and the building is not only handicapped accessible but also includes an elevator.

Our large funeral home is a flexible space that can easily adapt to your family’s needs. Every service is specifically tailored to the wishes of your family, and the people we serve are as diverse as the colorful neighborhoods of Queens itself. From the moment you walk through the doors and into our lobby with the sweeping marble staircase, you will feel welcome.

Highly experienced team

The associates at Frederick Funeral Home in Flushing have more than 100 years of combined experience. Members of our team have lived in Queens and served at the funeral home for 3 decades or longer. We are your trusted friends and neighbors, and there’s no one better to care for you in a difficult time. Several team members are bilingual, and each and every one of us is dedicated to celebrating lives in unique and personalized ways.

Caring, personalized funeral services

Lobby at Frederick Funeral HomeBy working closely with you and asking insightful questions, we discover your loved one through the stories you share. A personal eulogy, thematic decorations, a special song or thoughtful keepsakes all may be part of a memorable funeral service.

This approach keeps us open to traditional religious rites as well as contemporary events. Whether you want a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered in a personally meaningful place, a service at the funeral home with cemetery burial or a memorial followed by fellowship in a neighborhood restaurant, we are happy to facilitate.

Maybe your brother was a hunter or your sister was a tennis player. Maybe your father was passionate about classic cars or your mother performed on Broadway. Whatever the case may be, we bring these unique details together to create a singular, heartfelt memorial.

"The staff that we were in contact with showed so much warmth and caring to me and my family. There was always someone around to help with anything we might have needed without being in your face. They made sure all covid were met and followed."

"Lucy and Lorraine made this challenging process very seamless. I had many questions and I needed additional time, in order to give my mom time to process and make decisions like selecting a casket, and they were incredibly kind and patient."

"I made prearrangements on behalf of my uncle who I knew was soon to pass. One of the funeral directors named Nicole was kind enough to come to my uncles apartment to make these arrangements in case my uncle was well enough to give some input. There was never any pressure or coaxing towards a particular item or service and she was also very compassionate and nice. I also had the pleasure of speaking to and meeting other staff members and they were all delightful to work with. They made the situation more bearable and easy for me and my father and because of that when he did pass everything went smoothly and instead of worrying about things getting done I was able to enjoy the funeral mass and gravesite prayers with my other family members with peace of mind. Thank you for all your hard work, Valerie Kober And Vincent Harrison"
