A Missouri native, Kent Knudsen was born in Kirksville and grew up in Jonesburg and High Hill, graduating from Montgomery County High School in 1983. While still in high school he began working for his father's business, Knudsen Photography, in Columbia until he was hired as a family service counselor at Memorial Park Cemetery in March 2001. After serving his apprenticeship, Kent became a licensed funeral director in December 2002. In May 2011 he took a position at Parker Funeral Service, also in Columbia, where he served until accepting his current position.
Married on September 24, 2016, Kent and his wife each have a son. They enjoy taking care of their dog and cats, golfing, bowling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and attending Mizzou basketball games.
Melody Christine Craighead
Melody Maupin Craighead graduated from Fulton High School in 1978. She is the fourth generation of her family to be involved with the funeral industry. She received her funeral director's license while working with her father, Gene "Jeep" Maupin, in 1985. Melody's compassion and devotion to people is her greatest attribute.
Melody and her husband, Ron, live in Fulton. Together they have 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Melody enjoys spending time with her husband and their grandchildren and shopping.
Nikki Dawn Grube
Nikki Grube joined our staff as a funeral director in 2015, serving families with compassionate and professional care. Originally from Johnson, Nebraska, Nikki lives in California, Missouri, and enjoys spending time with her four children.
