Debo Funeral Home was founded by L.G. Wallace in 1929. It was then known as Wallace Funeral Home and operated in downtown Fulton. The business was sold to Denzel Browning in 1944 and became known as Browning Funeral Home.

The firm grows and expands

Debo Funeral Home moved to its present location in 1962. The Browning family continued to operate the funeral home until Bob Debo bought it in 1976. A few years later, the Debo family purchased Claypool Funeral Home in New Bloomfield, which expanded their market base. In 1987, a new funeral home was built in Holts Summit and the New Bloomfield funeral home was relocated.

Today, we continue to uphold the legacy set forth by our founder and take pride in celebrating loved ones and preserving memories with dignity and honor.

"When I met with Nikki to make funeral arrangements I asked if she would be the right person for us to work with and conveyed our wishes. I expected an uneasy response. Our wishes were to spend time in the dressing room doing personal care for my dad's body - shave his face, do his hair, help dress him, and place him in the container. Nikki made that happen for my daughter and I without question. She carefully reviewed my details and made them hers. She assured me over two specific details where I showed concern. She made cost-effective suggestions, worked within our budget, didn't try to up sell services, was honest and upfront with costs. I am grateful for the experience to help prepare my dad's body. It was one final way we could show our love for him. As this was my first time to make funeral arrangements for a loved one, I am grateful to have experienced it with a caring, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly funeral director. Nikki sets the bar high."
