William "Mike" Sears started working in a funeral home at age 16 riding ambulances. Under the mentorship of the funeral home's owner, Mike worked there while attending high school and college and grew to understand funeral service.
Upon graduation from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, he and his wife packed all their worldly possessions in a small U-Haul and came to North Carolina. For over 25 years Mike was the general manager of a large manufacturing company which served Triad funeral homes. Retiring early, he joined Hanes Lineberry in 2002 and has been the location manager of the Sedgefield location since 2007.
Recognizing all families are different and have separate needs, Mike enjoys working with the families and finds it very rewarding to help them during one of the most trying times of their lives.
Mike and his wife have 2 children and 1 grandchild. They both enjoy spending time with family and he loves fishing with his son and grandson—catching a fish is a bonus.
